Fossil-free multicopter for heavy lifting

In recent years, drones have become popular and are beeing used in various applications in society. However, there is a lack of powerful fossil-free drones that can replace machines. These types of drones could, for example, help the forestry industry achieve the goal of fossil-free forestry by 2030.

This project aims to develop a drone capable of carrying a payload of 500 kg. There is already a design in place for the drone, also known as a multicopter, and durability tests are currently being conducted on components. Studies on the generation and storage of electricity have been initiated, as well as studies on battery replacement on the craft.

The multicopter system will be focused on spreading ash and fertilizer as well as transporting trees and plants. In forestry, this type of work from the air can save significant resources. The fossil-free system can also be used in a variety of other contexts where there is a great need for heavy lifting.
