Bio+ launches new call for projects!
2024-04-20
Do you want to build new knowledge or have solutions that can accelerate and promote the transition to a sustainable and bio-based society?
A resilient and competitive bioeconomy in Sweden requires significant amounts of biomass and more efficient use and reuse of residual streams that can contribute to increased supply security. A fundamental principle is that the biomass should be used resource-efficiently and be based on sustainable value chains, economically, ecologically, and socially.
Apply for support
In the newly opened Bio+ call, it is possible to apply for support for research and innovation projects that:
- Increase the understanding of the role of biomass in a broader industrial and energy system perspective
- Build knowledge on how policy instruments, regulations, and behaviors affect the bioeconomy, the complex interactions in the energy system, and adjacent industries or sectors
- Promote the energy and climate transition through industrial renewal, new solutions, or value chains linked to the bioeconomy.
Prioritized project areas
This call welcomes projects in the following areas:
- Biomass and bio-based solutions (including projects based on the blue bioeconomy)
- Sustainability, societal perspective, and system analysis (projects addressing complex system issues and system solutions in the area)
- Market and commercialization (business-driven projects in industrial research, experimental development, and feasibility studies)
- International cooperation
Scope
The call encompasses approximately 70 Million SEK.
